Mental Struggles with Weight Loss

Hey guys,

Punk Rock Pikachu here again, with an important message. At least, I think it's important. You may not. But you should. And here's why.

Whenever we get focused on weight loss, we automatically jump to diet and exercise. While those are major parts of losing weight, they're not the full story. Your state of mind and mental health is just as vital to the weight loss process. I've learned some things the hard way, so I thought I'd share them with you.

Tuesday Tips: Drinking Your Calories, Or Why That's A Bad Idea

Hey guys! Dancing Dragonair here! I told you guys you'd hear from me again soon, and here I am! Hopefully I'll run this once every Tuesday with a different bit of advice, or it may drop down to every other Tuesday. Not sure yet.

For today, I want to talk about drinks. When we start out thinking, "I want to lose weight," we may not tend to think about the calories we're not actually eating. We don't think about what's in that soda we had with lunch, or the effects of that tasty sweet tea we had yesterday afternoon. Because we don't always watch those as closely, they can add up, and fast.

Introducing, Punk Rock Pikachu!

Greetings everyone!

The name's Punk Rock Pikachu, and I'm rather pleased to meet you. I've had some weight issues throughout the years; currently I'm 5'5" and weigh 230 pounds. Yeah. It's upsetting, but I also really don't look it. My good friend Dancing Dragonair and I decided to combine our efforts and help each other get down to our ideal weights, which, for me is around 160 pounds. We started this blog to share our progress with you guys, and also share tips and recipes we pick up along the way.

It's going to be a long, hard year, but we can do it!

See you next time,
Punk Rock Pikachu!

Introducing Dancing Dragonair

Hey, guys. As the title of this post suggests, my name is Dancing Dragonair. I'm 20 years old, 5 feet and 7 inches tall, and as of this post I weigh 236 pounds. Anyone I say this to tends to disbelieve me, or think I'm lying; I carry it well. But it's true, and it's also true that I should weigh significantly less than I do.

Over the course of the year I intend to keep up this blog I hope to go down to 175 pounds, as that is a healthier (doctor-recommended!) weight for my frame. I'll be posting about my successes (and my failures) as well as the occasional nifty exercise and more frequent tasty recipe.

You'll be hearing from me again soon!

Dancing Dragonair, signing off.
